Angewandte Chemie Publishes ECUST New Progress in Solar-Driven Pure Water Splitting for Hydrogen Production

The internationally renowned journal Angewandte Chemie International Edition recently published online the latest research progress by the Clean Energy Materials and Devices team from the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The paper, titled “Al³⁺-Dependent Anisotropic Facet Tailoring on SrTiO₃ Single Crystal for Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting”, focuses on solar-driven overall water splitting.

The editors selected the article as a Very Important Paper (VIP) in the field of overall water splitting. The work was primarily conducted by Zhang Yang, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, under the guidance of Associate Professor Liu Pengfei, Professor Yang Huagui, and others. The research received support from the National Key R&D Program, the NSFC Key Program, and the Shanghai Basic Research Special Zone Program.
